Connecting Googlers with Nonprofits!

Today HandsOn Tech Atlanta was invited to a  Google Atlanta’s Community Affairs meeting. At this event, members of the Community Affairs Team invited other Googlers to explore all the great opportunities the Community Affairs Team is leading. It ranges from a school technology program to our very own deep dive assessment projects. After a short introduction of each program, we displayed our current projects and spoke to several potential volunteers. A total of 8 skills-based volunteers were recruited. We are now in the process of placing the volunteers with local nonprofits. This could be your nonprofit. The next application deadline is February 20th. Have you applied?

About HandsOn Tech Atlanta

HandsOn Tech is a national program focused on increasing the nonprofit sector's effective use of technology to increase community resources and improve outcomes for low-income communities. Our team is serving in this program in seven cities across the country: Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Seattle. HandsOn Tech Atlanta is looking to engage Atlanta nonprofits that serve the local, low-income community. We will provide pro bono technology assessments, develop technology plans, and offer professional consulting, training, and resources to build capacity and support for qualified Atlanta nonprofits. Along with these services, one of our largest effort will take place by engaging the community and nonprofits in technology trainings through out this year. HandsOn Tech Atlanta is powered by HandsOn Atlanta's Springboard program which has served the greater Atlanta area since 2006.
